Tanzania Appropriate Science and Technology Center (iTEC)

Innovative Technology and Energy Center (iTEC)

The Center for Appropriate Technology in Tanzania is an organization where 'Seoul National University's Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering' (Research Director: Professor Sung-Hoon Ahn).

Itec cooperates with Tanzania's 'Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology' for international development cooperation in science and technology with the support of the Ministry of Science and ICT. 

E3Empower is jointly supervising the science and technology support project in Tanzania with the center.

The Tanzania Appropriate Technology Center (iTEC), supported by the Korean Ministry of

Science and Technology and the National Research Foundation of Korea,

develops innovative appropriate technologies suitable for Africa by utilizing renewable energy and

ICT in electricity, agriculture, health, and education. We aim to educate and commercialize.

E3Empower is a major partner of iTEC and jointly operates various programs

through international partnerships in the private, governmental, and academic sectors.

iTEC Solar Technology Volunteer Group

The iTEC Solar Technology Volunteer Group dispatches global social contribution groups and technical volunteers to the local area.

Cooperate and participate in overseas support activities using appropriate technologies (renewable energy system, vaccine delivery system, solar smart classroom, etc.).
